Precision Rifle Tripod Techniques
This is a one-day, eight-hour introduction to tripod supported and improved shooting positions for the precision marksman. Emphasis is on best methods utilized to achieve accurate fire with precision weapon systems from 200 to 25 yards. It includes many of the same fundamental skills as taught in Forge Tactical Sniper Overwatch and Overwatch Skill Builder. These same techniques are as applicable to the hunter as they are to the LE and military sniper.
If you are seeking to learn how to select and use a tripod but do not currently have one, we have a limited number of tripods available for sharing.
Prerequisites: Formal precision rifle or sniper course attendance.
Equipment list:
- Precision weapon system. DMR rifle is acceptable for this course.
- Confirmed 100 yard zero.
- 100 rounds of precision ammunition suggested minimum. No green tip or armor piercing.
- Tripod, bipod, precision rifle sling. Day pack and duty sniper gear. We have a limited number of tripods for sharing.
- Electronic hearing protection.
- Eye protection, clothing appropriate for all weather conditions.
- Pen and notebook.
- Hydration and calories. We will not leave the range for meals.
- There is No range fee for this course.

Travel and Lodging:
The local airport for Savannah is the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Rental cars are available there from all the major providers. Some students chose to fly into the Jacksonville International Airport, which is a larger airport with more flight options, and is approx. 100 miles from Savannah, Ga.

Many quality hotels can be also be found right in the middle of downtown Savannah which is only approx. 6 miles from our facility.
